Where do you go when one of your friends is getting married soon? Nashville, Of course! One of my friends recently got married and for her bachelorette weekend we drove up to Nashville to stay at an air b&b. It didn’t hurt that it was also my birthday weekend.
Before we left, we decided to all meet in Atlanta so that we could just take one car. Since we didn’t end up leaving until later and would not get to Nashville until around 12am, we decided to stop for dinner at Cracker Barrel. I’ll be honest, I don’t remember the last time I was at a Cracker Barrel before that but it was still delicious. When we finally made it to our place, we went to the lock box where our keys for the place were suppose to be and found..no keys. It was a little unnerving as we waited for things to get resolved while we waited in the car for about an hour and wondered if we needed to get another place to stay at. Thankfully, We were finally able to get into our place and settle in for the night.

The next day, after having cake for breakfast because it was my birthday, we went to see the country music hall of fame.

For lunch we stopped at Margaritaville and listened to some amazing singers while we ate. After we walked around downtown and tried on some boots from a boot shop, we went back to our place to freshen up for the night.

Since not all of us were 21, we weren’t able to go to any of the bars so we went to this neat place called Pinewood Social. Word of advice if your gonna go, it’s a good idea to make a reservation in advance especially for the bowling. It was a super fun place that served food, had a bar and a bowling area that looked like it came from a movie set. Since there were too many people ahead of us, we sadly weren’t able to bowl but we still were able to have a good time. There were couches to sit on with board games to play while you drank and waited for your table to get ready. For dinner, I got a lobster roll and yes it was delicious. Overall it was a fun place, that you should definitely check out.

We ended up not staying too late because we had to leave early in the morning to head back to Georgia after stopping for breakfast.

The following weekend, we were able to stand by her side as she married her husband in her dad’s church. After we went to the reception area in a barn in Alabama with beautiful views and decorations. During “cocktail hour”, we had grilled cheeses and tomato soup. The dinner was delicious and for dessert she had a cobbler station with ice cream. By the time the sparkler send off happened, I was beyond tired from the events of the day so I can only imagine how tired she was. Overall, it was a beautiful wedding.
Her husband recently got deployed for about a year so please keep both of them in your thoughts and prayers as they both navigate this tough time.
